Why CF SHINGLE AND SHAKE are the unparalleled choices for roofers and homeowners.

Tilcor’s CF Shingle and Shake profiles are a genuine concealed fastening roofing system combined with an innovative interlocking Secure Lock (SL) lap system that can be installed direct-to-deck.

CF Shingle and Shake use the esteemed method of concealed fastening to affix panels to the roof. As the image below displays, the back-fastening tab folds over itself, which provides strength and a secure area to fasten the panels. The next panel conceals the fasteners to ensure they are not exposed to the weather. Other products on the market don’t have this feature and is just one of the reasons why the CF Shingle and Shake profiles are attracting the attention of roofing professionals. Although other products may claim their fastening systems aren’t visible, they’re still exposed to the elements and subject to deterioration.

The innovative, interlocking SL lap system uses S-Lock technology. Recent test results prove that the 3-1/2” side lap and long back-fastening tabs ensure water tightness and can withstand the highest wind loads.

For those of you in the roofing business, here are more advantageous features of the CF Shingle and Shake profiles that will interest you:

  • CF Shingle and Shake are 26 gauge
  • They have three 5/16” water channels at the side lap
  • The side lap is 3-1/2”
  • CF Shingle and Shake have a continuous weather channel at the head check or top lap (back shelf) and doesn’t require weep holes below the side lap
  • The under nose is the same size across the panel
  • The Shingle CF step looks like the nose so it's difficult to tell that it's a two-course shingle
  • CF Shingle and Shake have large fastening tabs for random screwing – no searching for pre-punched holes which can be difficult to see
