The answer is the **Tilcor Shingle** tile. The house is positioned high above Palmerston North amongst the wind farms – **Te Apiti Wind Farm**, which is located on Saddle Road north of the Manawatu Gorge. The wind resource near the Manawatu Gorge is exceptional. Because the Manawatu gorge acts as a wind funnel, creating consistently **high wind** speeds. The tile profiles and roofing accessories are engineered to interlock and overlap to resist wind lifting and keep out the harsh elements. With the textured finish, the Shingle tile captures the subtle look and charm of low-profile traditional shingles. There is no wonder why Gareth specified the Tilcor Shingle for his project.
